Can You Get Multi-region Blu-ray Disc Players?

yes you can the SONY BDP-S500 Multi Region Code Free Blu Ray DVD Player is available on ebay from the USA and its priced at
£492. 51 + £52. 53 postage.
I would wait though as it wont be long before there available in the UK for a lot less.

  1. Not yet. The format isn’t popular enough yet for folks to have really started hacking it.
    With DVD, region-free players didn’t start appearing until Chinese manufacturers started making DVD players and shipping them to the US. I don’t think they’ve started on blu-ray yet because it’s still pretty expensive. (and besides, all the Chinese pirates are simply shoving their DVDs inside fake blu-ray boxes and claiming “HD!”)

  2. Not in the USA. The manufacturers are selling only region 1 here in the states. But that’s not to say it can’t be done. Someone out there probably has already hacked one apart & corrected that issue.

    I’m sure they’re out there somewhere. I haven’t seen one though. However, many Blu-ray discs are being released region-free.http://www.blu-ray.com/
