Do You Need A Blu Ray Player To Play A Blu Ray Disc?
Or can you just use a normal DVD player? Also, do Blu Ray discs have more special features and extras on them than the DVDs of newly released movies? Some, anyway.
Oh, and is Blu Ray avaliable in Australia?
Thanks!
A blu ray disc can only be played on a blu ray player.
Blu ray discs have a higher video resolution than dvd, but if I were you, I’d go and take a look at both blu-ray and dvd side-by-side if possible to see if you can see the difference. If you think one is better than the other, then great! If not, then it’s up to you to decide what route you want to take.
The reason is – I’ve taken a look at both and I honestly don’t see enough of a difference to spend my money on a blu ray player.
Blu ray is available in Australia.
A blu-ray player will play your regular DVDs and even upconvert them to near hd quality for you. Make sure you get a a Profile 1.1 or 2.0 player though or you won’t be able to use the cool picture in picture features on the blue ray movies
