How Do You Download Firmware To Blu-ray Disc Player?

I am trying to watch a movie on my BD player (Samsung BD-1400) but apparantley I need to download the latest firmware before I can watch this particular film. I went to the Samsung website and found the firmware but it does not explain how to download it to the player. Can someone help me do this please?

  1. Connect an spare Ethernet ( internet ) cable to the back of the Samsung player, and follow the menu directions in the first link below.
    This is simpler than burning an ISO image of the downloaded software, and playing it in the player.
